The first Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée (AOCs) were established in 1936. The Quincy appellation was the first in the Centre-Loire region to be awarded AOC status, on 6 August 1936.

To celebrate this anniversary and showcase their wines and expertise, the appellation’s winegrowers are offering a program packed with events, under the theme “A Family Story”.


Highlights not to be missed:  
 

  • June: “Quincy 90 Years”

Nicolas Raduget has written a reference book on the Quincy appellation, covering its origins to the present day. This book will be available from June.  
 

  • August: “Tag' ta Tour”

Quincy is the first vineyard to be equipped with 70 anti-frost towers. Starting in August, set off to explore a unique walking trail that will showcase an innovative project: the artistic decoration of some of these towers. 

 

  • Saturday 8 August: ANNIVERSARY DAY

A day entirely dedicated to celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Quincy AOC. This day, with a 1930s theme, will feature a festive program open to all: shows, music, free tastings, an escape game, a masterclass … 

 

  • From 11am at the Château de Quincy
  • Free entry
  • Quincy wine tastings
  • Open-air dance party & DJ set
  • 7 food trucks
  • Activities: music, dancing, workshops, car exhibition, children’s games, second-hand clothes stall, murder mystery party

👉 A day out for the whole family 

 

  • September: Artistic show

An artistic show will be held to celebrate the end of the grape harvest season.
